The Database Administrator Advisor works with senior business and IT partners to identify, prioritize and lead the development and implementation of database administration standards, policies, methods, and procedures. This role requires associates to be in-office 1 day per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

  • Lead highly complex database administration projects and efforts.
  • Oversee physical database creation and maintenance in production and non-production environments.
  • Build and support required database test environments.
  • Accurately estimate database administration effort for any size project covering the project's database needs.
  • Identify and define standard procedures and processes, ensuring compatibility with vision and direction.
  • Work with business and IT partners to identify, translate, and prioritize the most complex database architectural requirements.
  • Provide guidance to subordinates in best architectural practices in maximizing the database performance.
  • Troubleshoot difficult database problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in related occupation(s).
  • Seven (7) years of experience with database administration including designing, installing, configuring, patching, maintaining, and performance tuning for Oracle 12c or 19c Databases.
  • Experience performing reviews and implementing solutions for databases and systems to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
  • Experience designing, planning and executing backup and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Experience providing daily operations and providing 24x7 on-call support for production incident resolution.
  • Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and conducting root cause analysis for database and application specific incidents.
  • Experience developing, supporting and communicating database policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience designing, developing and testing Linux shell scripts to support automation.
