  • Data Warehousing Expertise- Extensive experience building enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts for analytics and reporting.
  • Strong Data Modeling Background- In-depth understanding of dimensional modeling, entity-relationship design, and schema evolution.
  • ETL / ELT and Integration Tools- Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend) or ELT patterns in cloud environments.
  • Performance and Scalability Orientation- Ability to design for high performance, fault tolerance, partitioning strategies, and efficient data retrieval.
  • Cloud Data Warehouse Experience- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data warehouse technologies.
  • Software and Scripting- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation and data processing tasks is a plus.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Mindset- Strong ability to analyze complex problems, define root causes, and propose scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Data Warehouse Architecture- Lead the design and technical architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions, data marts, and analytical data structures optimized for high-performance querying with SQL.
  • Data Modeling- Create and maintain logical and physical data models (star schemas, snowflake schemas) to ensure consistency, flexibility, and scalability of data structures used for analytics.
  • SQL Mastery and Database Design- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL for data ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and performance tuning across large datasets; ensure efficient use of indexes, partitions, and query plans.
  • ETL / ELT and Integration Strategy- Architect, implement, and oversee robust extract-transform-load (ETL/ELT) processes, ensuring high data quality, consistency, governance, and lineage as data flows from source systems into the warehouse and data marts.
  • Performance and Scalability- Identify performance bottlenecks and design optimized solutions for storage, processing, and retrieval to support reporting and analytics at scale.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement- Work closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, BI developers, and IT leaders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable data architecture solutions.
  • Data Quality and Governance- Establish standards and best practices for data quality, data definitions, security, and documentation; implement mechanisms to monitor and maintain data reliability.
  • Cloud and Modern Data Platforms- Evaluate and integrate modern cloud data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and tools as part of strategic data platform evolution.
