About The Position

The Data Visualization Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the usage of a data visualization toolkit, including its configuration, deployment, and usage. This role requires applying specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. The specialist will work independently with some guidance and may review or guide the activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

• Experience with designing or producing data visualization mechanisms and tools.
• Knowledge of data modeling, metadata, prototyping, Microsoft Access, query tools, scripting or scripting languages, and user interface design.
• Ability to identify relationships among disparate pieces of information and develop meaning and analytical conclusions.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Management Information Systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps.
• Knowledge of military culture in general and United States Navy culture and structure.
• Knowledge of MyNavy HR business processes and current transformation efforts.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team responsible for multiple concurrent deliverables.
