Position Summary As a Data Validation Analyst I, you will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and improving data quality across various systems and processes. You will work closely with data engineers, customer support, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability for our customers. We are curious people who take pride in our work, value high-quality communication, and strive to improve continuously.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience working with structured datasets or operational data processes
  • Ability to work Pacific Time business hours
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Interest in developing customer-facing skills
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Economics, Computer Science, Math, and Engineering are preferred), or equivalent experience
  • Experience with data quality assurance tools or methodologies
  • Programming experience (SQL preferred)
  • Familiarity with energy market data sources and industry-specific datasets
  • Experience data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving data quality issues across datasets and databases.
  • Conduct daily data audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data flows and business requirements.
  • Document data quality issues and escalate to data engineers to resolve Assist with root cause analysis of data issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Other duties and projects may be assigned.
