About The Position

The Data Transmission Team Lead is responsible for resolving highly complex technical issues for Truist's Network applications. This role involves overseeing programming and debugging activities, responding to incidents, providing technical consultation, and leading large projects to improve processes. The position requires a deep understanding of business challenges and the ability to recommend best practices. The Team Lead will also mentor less experienced teammates and may have people management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in development or production support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
  • Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
  • Ability to lead complex projects.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.

  • Deep knowledge and experience in software support or development.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Responsible for installing/upgrading, configuring, and supporting the enterprise data transmissions platforms.
  • Supports environmental changes, which includes gathering requirements for system changes.
  • Provides third-level production support covering 24/7.
  • Monitors the infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and makes recommendations for the elimination of areas that are susceptible to failure.
  • Stays up to date on all aspects of security, related to the data transmissions platforms and integrations.
  • Attends and sometimes leads recurring project status meetings via conference call.
  • Multi-task and works independently, while applying logic and discretion.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of application support and an understanding of best practices.
  • Maintains standards and procedures for the data transmissions areas.
  • Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating issues, incidents and service requests.
  • Leads the team of data transmission resources.
  • 3-5 experience in Sterling File Gateway/B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, SEAS, Connect: Direct and Control Center.
  • Understanding of network protocols, firewall configuration, and security concepts.
  • Good experience with IBM mainframe, Windows, and Linux system administration.
  • Working knowledge of security certificates.
  • Experience in handling production support engagements.
  • Ability to perform a broad range of tasks and project assignments concurrently through effective prioritization of work.
  • Be self-motivated and self-managing, demonstrating sound judgement and effective decision making.

  • Oversees others who perform programming and debugging activities.

  • Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
  • Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
  • May have people management responsibilities.
