CTG is seeking to fill a Data Systems Engineer (AVEVA PI / OT Integration) position for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Duties: Design, implement, and maintain data integration solutions between Operational Technology (OT) systems and IT platforms Configure and support AVEVA PI System components including PI Interfaces, Connectors, and Integrators Integrate real-time and historical data from industrial control systems (e.g., power plant systems such as Ovation) into enterprise data environments Develop and manage data flows across OT and IT ecosystems, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and security Design web-based and cloud-enabled applications that may operate across multiple platforms and software packages Ensure performance, scalability, and availability of data systems and associated applications Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain operational continuity Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, and operations to support system integration initiatives Maintain documentation for system architecture, data flows, and integration processes Support compliance with cybersecurity and data governance standards within OT environments Skills: Strong expertise with AVEVA PI System (PI Interfaces, Connectors, Integrators) Experience working within Operational Technology (OT) environments, particularly power generation or industrial control systems (e.g., Ovation) Proficiency in industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and DNP Solid understanding of system integrations and data flows across IT and OT environments Experience designing and supporting cloud-based and web-based applications Knowledge of system performance tuning, scalability, and high availability architectures Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams Experience: 5+ years of experience in data systems engineering, industrial data integration, or related roles Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System in production environments Proven experience integrating OT systems with enterprise IT platforms Experience working in energy, utilities, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data architectures is a plus Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
