The Data Strategist's position within the Office of Strategy and Innovation is foundational for advancing the college's mission, instrumentally shaping data into a strategic asset that fuels innovation, informs decision-making, and aligns with institutional goals, thereby driving competitiveness and responsiveness in higher education. Reporting to the AVP of Strategy and Innovation, this role leads the development of actionable insights, leveraging advanced analytics, data visualization, and narrative storytelling to guide strategic direction. The Data Strategist collaborates extensively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define data needs and transform raw data into insights that drive growth, efficiency, equity, and student success. While not directly handling all technical tasks, this role requires a strong technical foundation to guide decisions, align initiatives with strategic priorities, and partner effectively with IT and the Director of Data Services and Institutional Analytics on data management, governance, security, and the evaluation of emerging tools for trend analysis and predictive outcomes. This position also fosters a data-informed culture, supporting comprehensive planning and ensuring the college measures and communicates its strategic progress.
