About The Position
The Data Solutions Expert (DSE) at bioMerieux plays a crucial role in fulfilling delivery requests from the business in alignment with the IS Delivery Model and IS Charter. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and analytical skills to scope requests effectively and collaborate with project teams to deliver tailored solutions. The DSE is responsible for utilizing data mining techniques, such as ELT/ETL, to develop comprehensive reporting and visualization solutions. Testing the solutions to ensure functionality and integrity is a key part of the role, as is deploying these solutions with a focus on ongoing support and sustainability. The DSE must manage development efforts through analytical thinking, organization, and effective communication, while also understanding the relationships between ERP, CRM, and other business applications. In this role, the DSE will lead the development, deployment, and support of data platform applications and solutions for bioMerieux. Effective communication with business stakeholders regarding project scope, budget, planning, timelines, required resources, risks, and governance is essential. The DSE will also be responsible for the design, build, management, maintenance, and optimization of a data warehouse, performing these tasks with minimal management guidance and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires providing value through complex data engineering, analysis, modeling, visualization, and communication, as well as developing forecasts, recommendations, and strategic plans based on business and market data. The DSE will interact with leadership to present impactful data and participate in collaboration efforts with global data development teams, including those in France and India. Documentation of analysis methods, specifications, and reports is also a critical responsibility, ensuring that content is tailored to the audience. Familiarity with various data engineering and solution concepts, practices, and procedures is necessary, along with adherence to standard operating protocols. The DSE will provide training on data applications and software utilities to internal subject matter experts and collaborate with internal data teams to ensure the accuracy and validity of deliverables. Prioritizing and completing data requests on time with a focus on quality and accuracy is essential, as is the continual updating of technical knowledge and skills. All work must comply with company policy and bioMerieux's Quality System, while also aligning with the company's technical and scientific mission.
