About The Position

Rackspace is seeking a Director of Solutions to lead the design and sales of innovative AI and Data Engineering solutions. This role combines technical leadership with presales expertise, focusing on both solution design and enterprise account management. The successful candidate will leverage cloud-native tools and work closely with enterprise customers to enhance Rackspace's offerings in the AI and Data Engineering space.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in AI/ML or Data Engineering, with cross-functional experience preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior-level data scientist or data architect.
  • Demonstrable success delivering 5+ full-scale data projects using cloud-native tooling on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience with deep learning libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch, and Spark/Hadoop is useful.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and NLP/NLU techniques.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing ambiguity and collaborating across departments.

  • Strong knowledge of technology and industry trends in enterprise data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of AI and Data Engineering solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Act as the Product Owner, guiding development teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage backlogs, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Develop solution documentation, including high-level designs and architecture diagrams.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI/ML and Data Engineering to enhance solution offerings.
  • Serve as the presales lead for named enterprise accounts, positioning and selling solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across customer teams.
  • Conduct consultative engagements to understand customer challenges and map them to solutions.
  • Develop proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), business cases, and RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on account prioritization and support strategies.
