Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required (two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college). Certifications such as Snowflake Pro and/or AWS-related are highly preferred.
  • 7/+ years' experience in solution architecture to include data architecture or a similar senior technical role. Candidates should have a proven track record of architecting and implementing large-scale integration and API solutions, as well as data engineering and data management experience.
  • Expertise in enterprise integration patterns and hands-on experience with technologies like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or cloud-native integration services (e.g., AWS AppSync, API Gateway).
  • Deep understanding of API architecture principles, including REST, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services beyond basic infrastructure, including serverless computing (Lambda), message queuing (SQS), and streaming (Kinesis).
  • Extensive experience with the Snowflake Data Cloud, including data sharing and governance features.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tooling for CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Mulesoft, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and fostering technical excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business needs into actionable, technical plans.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver end-to-end integration architectures that seamlessly connect the enterprise data platform with various applications, third-party services, and internal tools.
  • Develop the strategic roadmap for enterprise data integration, identifying opportunities for process optimization and new capabilities.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate integration patterns and technologies (e.g., ETL, event-driven, API-based) to meet diverse business needs.
  • Conduct discovery workshops and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to surface requirements and define the integration and API strategy.
  • Architect, design, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of APIs that expose data from the enterprise data platform for both internal and external consumption.
  • Define and enforce API standards, best practices, and security protocols to ensure consistency, reusability, and governance across all data APIs.
  • Establish a centralized API catalog and management platform to streamline discovery and access for API consumers.
  • Implement robust API security using methods such as OAuth and API gateways to protect data and control access.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that API and integration solutions adhere to the defined architecture and standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture blueprints, integration diagrams, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
  • Review technical designs and perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in API management and data integration.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex architectural concepts and trade-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to ensure API development is aligned with the overall data platform strategy and capabilities.
  • Work with security, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure all integration and API solutions are secure, compliant, and performant.

Benefits

  • We offer a robust package of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, community service and self-care days, medical/dental/vision/pharmacy insurance, 401(k) matching and non-contributory plan, life insurance, short and long term disability, education reimbursement, employee assistance plan (EAP), adoption assistance program and paid family leave program.
