About The Position

Are you ready to join a growing team? CTG is seeking a Data Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise-grade data platforms and solutions that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. This role blends cloud architecture, data engineering, and regulatory compliance to build secure, scalable, and modern data solutions. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 6 months

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in solution architecture or technical implementation; 2+ years in data engineering/enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), containerization (Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• AWS/Azure Solutions Architect or Certified Data Engineer certifications.
• Experience with scalable financial systems, streaming analytics, or automated data quality frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Kafka).
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from legacy systems, SaaS platforms, and real-time streams.
• Deploy data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytics environments (Snowflake, Power BI).
• Define and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with standards and roadmaps.
• Evaluate new data technologies and lead proof-of-concept projects.
• Produce architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and technical documentation.
• Guide Agile/DevOps teams on CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
