About The Position

The Data Security Solution Engineer Manager engages with and guides customers toward technical decisions to purchase and use Microsoft technology. This role leverages sales strategy to address customer digital transformation and align technology to customer business needs. The manager understands customer needs, collects feedback, and provides strategic input. They demonstrate Microsoft solutions to prove capabilities, apply architectures to client scenarios, and engage in partner sell-with scenarios to leverage the partner ecosystem. The role also includes people management responsibilities, driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance. The manager proactively identifies and engages with key customer technical decision makers and influencers while collaborating with the sales team. They use their knowledge to build credibility with customers and enable their team to influence customer decisions, ensuring technical wins by streamlining processes and managing the flow of wins. The manager ensures consistency and quality in customer engagements by implementing cross-functional initiatives and orchestrating team resources to maximize impact.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Compliance regulations in financial services such as FINRA, DORA, EU AI Act and other regulations.
  • Experience with Financial Services Industry, specifically Insurance, Capital Markets and Consumer Banking.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • 3+ years people management experience (including leading virtual teams).
  • Knowledge of Generative AI solutions (OpenAI, CoPilot, ChatGPT, Gemini Pro, etc.).
  • Obtained at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Microsoft Security Architect SC-100, SC-400, SC-401.

  • Build competitive knowledge of the team by enabling competitive learning and identifying experts to share knowledge.
  • Maintain communications with internal partners on highest potential customers to pre-align technical resources.
  • Work with local marketing and account teams to shape strategic win and customer success plans.
  • Ensure team members participate in tech communities and drive feedback to improve overall team member experience.
  • Support partner technical capacity by monitoring and analyzing resources and identifying new partnership opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and engage with key customer technical decision makers and influencers.
  • Apply advanced sales methodologies and coach the team in guiding customers through digital transformation solutions.
  • Promote adaptation and extension of architecture patterns to accommodate complex customer requirements.
