As a Data Scientist for Intelligent Solutions Group Urbandale located in Urbandale, IA, you will run advanced and predictive analyses and perform model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities, using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities. You will work independently to collate and analyze data using predetermined tools, methods, and formats to create standard insights. Additionally, you will make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics strategy. You will create basic machine learning algorithms and support the creation of more complex algorithms that identify patterns in structured data. You will partner with different business stakeholders and internal clients to ensure the collection of data in accordance with model standards. You will also consult and educate stakeholders on methods for streamlining and standardizing data recording to ensure quality and accuracy. Furthermore, you will conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends. You will support the collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly. You will contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports and develop your own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. You will maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
