This is a hybrid position, based in Atlanta or Cincinnati. Are you ready to write your next chapter? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our debit-routing data science team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

Requirements

BS/MS in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages like SQL, R, MatLab and/or Python
Knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, data visualization, and data analysis.
Ability to develop compelling and insightful recommendations to inform strategic research decisions by leaders and teams
Experience in advanced quantitative analysis including regression, classification, and time-series analyses
Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to solve complex problems.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to internal and external clients and contacts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks (not required, would be an added plus to have this experience)

Responsibilities

Analyze and extract insights from internal and external data.
Work with Big Data and transform complex datasets into more usable formats.
Utilize a variety of data science tools and programming languages such as SQL, R, and Databricks (Spark).
Work independently and collaborate with other groups to solve complex problems.
Create and present analyses to internal and external partners and clients.
Employ machine learning and statistical modeling to create and enhance data-driven products.
Document models and write code to track and monitor models and product performance.
Make pragmatic and business-aware choices when trading off sophistication and accuracy versus implementation and performance costs.
Participate in project planning sessions, analyze requirements, and provide design recommendations for complex analytical systems.
Other related duties as assigned.
