The Data Scientist transforms organizational data into actionable insights that drive smarter decisions, improved operations, and business growth. This role combines statistical modeling, programming, and business acumen to deliver predictive analytics, automation, and performance intelligence across departments. As part of the Data Systems Team, the Data Scientist collaborates with engineers, analysts, and business leaders to design models that enhance forecasting accuracy, streamline processes, and support data-informed strategy company-wide. Pay range: $40 - $60 per hour.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling, analytics, or predictive analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP data structures and Microsoft 365 data tools (Power Automate, Copilot, Excel).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify key trends, correlations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Build and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support demand forecasting, production efficiency, and customer insights.
  • Design statistical models to optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve lead time and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineer and Software Systems Team to integrate models into ERP, CRM, and BI systems.
  • Automate data workflows and model updates to ensure real-time insights.
  • Contribute to the development of unified data pipelines that support predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Translate technical analyses into clear, actionable business insights through Power BI dashboards, reports, and presentations.
  • Partner with functional leaders (Operations, Sales, Finance, HR) to support data driven decision-making.
  • Present findings and model outcomes in accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Research emerging analytics techniques, AI tools, and automation technologies to enhance organizational intelligence.
  • Evaluate model performance and continuously refine approaches to improve predictive accuracy and reliability.
  • Support development of enterprise data literacy through mentorship and documentation.
