About The Position

Data Scientist The Opportunity: Provide statistical and mathematical support to analyze and interpret a wide range of data to help leadership understand the value of anomalies and support strategic decisions. Interpret and analyze leadership information needs, and design and implement data analysis projects to address those needs by incorporating best practices, appropriate data, and proven techniques from experience or research met hods. Leverage wide-ranging data sources to develop and communicate an understanding of pheno mena and trends. Provide insights through repeatable, transparent analysis that will be used to inform division strategy and decisions. Assist in the construction of data sets and data views to utilize and communicate complex data sets meaningfully and appropriately. Assist with the implementation of statistical analysis process improvements and the incorporation of statistical research into new analytical products and met hods. Generate and maintain reports, schematics, and other documentation sufficient to maintain awareness of data ingestion, c ond itioning, and visualization processes on a regular basis and modify them as required. Provide continuous feedback and recommendations to leadership. Develop performance met rics to assess business analytics maturity level.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience in data science, mathematics, or a scientific field
  • Experience with data mining
  • Experience using sof tware packages used for advanced statistical analysis of operational data and tools for data visualization
  • Ability to develop mathematical algorithms and applications in response to complex requirements
  • Ability to identify systems enhancements and new capab ilities, concept demonstrators, and capab ility business cases
  • Ability to provide training as new systems and capab ilities move into operational use
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to interact and work in a team environment
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Image Science, Remote Sensing, Earth Science, or Physical Science
