Requirements

  • Strong Communication: Demonstrates strong communication skills with a basic understanding of project management principles. Ability to share updates with team members and manager clearly and concisely, with flexibility in discussions around project scope and deliverables.
  • Data Visualization: Ability to visualize data effectively to support clear insights and decision-making.
  • Analysis: Proficiency in leveraging data and statistical modeling to identify, create, and solve business opportunities.
  • GenAI and Machine Learning: Some proficiency in GenAI and machine learning techniques to identify, create, and solve business opportunities. Shows a strong desire to build foundational skills first and demonstrates flexibility in selecting appropriate methods.
  • Technical Data Proficiency: Ability to work with data using programming languages (SQL, Python) and a solid understanding of relational data and data tools.
  • Coding Skills: Demonstrates the ability to write production-ready code in Python that is modular, efficient, and well-documented.
  • Project Drive: Demonstrates a desire to learn and own project workstreams with a GenAI/Data Science focus to positively impact business outcomes.
  • Inquisitive Mindset: Possesses an inquisitive mindset and a desire to delve into the details while maintaining a focus on business impact and practical solutions.
  • Collaboration: Capable of both independent work and collaboration within projects and cross-functional teams to achieve targeted outcomes and drive shared success.
  • Master’s degree or higher in data science related areas (statistics, applied economics, data science)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing dashboards preferred with Python-based tools (PowerBI experience is a plus).
  • 2+ years of professional analytical experience preferred
  • 2+ years of P&C or Life/Retirement experience preferred
