HII's: Mission Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to support our offices in Alexandria, VA. HII's Mission Technologies has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization.
Requires 100% on site work at Ft Belvoir, VA.

Requirements

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Ability to provide direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents.
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills required with Power Bi knowledge a plus
• Understanding of and experience using SharePoint required
• Understanding of and experience using of ServiceNow a plus
• Ability to Obtain a DoD Secret level clearance

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements statistical and analytical methods, examines processes and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse data sets including structured, semi-structured and unstructured.
• Develops and sources software programs, algorithms, dashboards, information tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate and evaluate datasets.
• Employs statistical concepts, linguistics and programming skills to develop related techniques and methods for analysis.
• Keeps abreast of new analytic methodologies and technologies.
• Collaborates with functional business units to drive solutions and directions, and interprets and presents findings to enable business decisions.
• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Creates user-friendly reports using various databases and scripts.
• Works with other teams in order to ensure connectivity between various databases, programs, and systems.
• Collaborates with stakeholders in order to develop solutions to problems and potential problems.
