Capital Insurance Group is seeking a candidate to join our Actuarial & Analytics Department. We look to partner with a candidate who fits with the CIG culture, excels as a decision enabler, and can effectively collect and communicate results to key stakeholders. This person will help shape the Actuarial & Analytics department, driving strategy and analytics objectives.

  • Perform in-depth analyses to facilitate change throughout the organization.
  • Develop more sophisticated underwriting models.
  • Improve claim outcomes by building predictive claim metrics.
  • Understand and implement predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.
  • Demonstrate experience working with data visualization.
  • Work directly with internal partners to launch analytics solutions.
  • Compile relevant data from multiple internal databases.
  • Actively pursue continuing education development opportunities.
  • Manage multiple high visibility projects.
  • Possesses a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in a quantitative or scientific field.
  • 7+ years of experience required.
  • Experience creating and completing end to end analyses or modeling projects.
  • Background in statistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement findings from predictive modeling analyses.
  • Extensive experience using SQL and a comprehensive understanding of relational databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python, R, or another object-oriented statistical language.
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
