Help serve Google's worldwide user base of more than a billion people. Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. As a data-loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better decisions. You will weave stories with meaningful insight from data. You'll make critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers in Engineering and Product Management. You relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader the next. Within YouTube Data Science, the Music and Premium Data Science team is the home for all music products and podcasts at Google, along with efforts to grow our paid users (e.g., Premium, Nitrate, Commerce, and Growth). It is a critical area both for expanding Google's subscriptions growth as well as showcasing innovation to transform our products using AI tools. In this role, you will be the go-to Data Scientist within YouTube Music for a large organization of cross-functional partners (including Product Management, Engineering, UX Research, UX, Product Operations, etc.) and perform exploratory data analysis on user activity, videos, and music data to uncover insights that drive our growth strategy and build the metrics that our annual efforts revolve around. You would also work alongside other cross-functional partners to build and enhance LTV models, understand return on investment dynamics across paid products, enhance ML promo ranking systems, create models and define metrics for improved user experiences, and uncover actionable data-driven insights that inform our product roadmaps and strategy.
