About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our team at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) , supporting the Air Combat Command (ACC) . The Data Scientist will play a critical role in leveraging advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. This position requires expertise in data science methodologies, tools, and technologies to design how data will be stored, consume d, integrated and managed by different units and digital systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement data science solutions to support ISR operations and decision-making processes. D etermine , create and populate optimal data architectures , structures, and systems . Apply machine learning algorithms , statistical modeling , and predictive analytics to solve mission-critical challenges. Design and maintain data pipelines , ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and storage of structured and unstructured data. Identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs. Stay current with emerging data science technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities. Ensure compliance with all security protocols, classification guidelines, and organizational policies. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 15 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree
  • Proficiency in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes and database management.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Air Combat Command (ACC) or similar ISR organizations.
  • Knowledge of ISR operations and intelligence data sources.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Certifications such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS), AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, or equivalent.
