Data Scientist - SAP BRIM
About The Position
BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an SAP BRIM -Data Scientist to work in the Middletown, PA area. This is a full time position with at least 2 days on-site and possibly 3 days remote. As an SAP BRIM-Data Scientist, you will design and implement advanced analytics, predictive models, and machine learning solutions leveraging SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) and SAP S/4HANA data. This role focuses on extracting insights from high-volume subscription, usage, and billing data to optimize revenue processes, detect anomalies, and support strategic decision-making. The Data Scientist collaborates with architects, data engineers, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant analytics solutions aligned with SAP best practices.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in data science and analytics within enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BRIM and S/4HANA data structures.
- Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP for event-driven data processing and API integration.
- Strong understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
Nice To Haves
- SAP BRIM certifications (BR235/240/245/416).
- Experience with utilities or transportation industry data models.
- Knowledge of advanced ML techniques and integration with SAP environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Hybrid methodologies and tools like ADO/JIRA.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze SAP BRIM data (SOM, CI, CC) to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop predictive models for usage forecasting, revenue projections, and churn analysis.
- Apply machine learning techniques for fraud detection, dispute prediction, and dynamic pricing strategies.
- Data Engineering & Integration
- Work with data engineers to design pipelines for extracting and transforming SAP BRIM data.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across SAP and external sources.
- Implement feature engineering and model training workflows using SAP BTP and integrated platforms.
- Visualization & Reporting
- Build dashboards and visualizations in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for actionable insights.
- Present findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
- Compliance & Security
- Ensure analytics processes comply with PCI DSS, SOC1/SOC2, and Commonwealth IT security standards.
- Apply encryption, secure storage, and role-based access for sensitive data.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Document models, algorithms, and data flows using Commission-approved templates.
- Collaborate with business analysts and SMEs to align analytics outputs with functional requirements.
