About The Position

Google Fi Wireless began with an idea to challenge the traditional mobile carrier model. Born as Project Fi in 2015, our mission was to make wireless service fair, easy, and fast. By intelligently switching between multiple cellular networks, we built a super-network that prioritized the best possible connection for our users, surpassing what people expect from their mobile service. As a Product Data Scientist, you will work with product managers, engineers, and others to conduct data-oriented analysis, develop metrics, synthesize information and present insights to support strategic decisions as it relates to Fi. You will design and implement methodologies, dashboards and presentations partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions. In this role, you will be passionate about growing our subscriber base and building core features. You'll have opportunities for learning the Android stack, developing user-facing features. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of experience with analysis applications (extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (Python, R, SQL) or 2 years of experience with a Master's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in extracting large sets of data with SQL and designing ETL flows.
  • Experience in solving unstructured business problems with data science, translating results into impactful business recommendations, and measuring the success of those initiatives.
  • Experience in developing AI/ML applications from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis to make product recommendations (feature prioritization, user growth, product quality, etc).
  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, and creating visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for investigative needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate and complete analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of Google data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for both products and sales activity, as well as external marketing spend trends.
