About The Position

The Data Scientist/Product Analyst Intern position at Splunk offers students the opportunity to work on real projects that combine data science and product management. Interns will engage in a dynamic, startup-like environment, collaborating with multi-functional teams to support both internal and external customer needs while gaining valuable mentorship and insight into the company's values-driven process.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or a related technical field
• Strong record of academic achievement
• At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
• Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks

Nice To Haves

• Superb interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to explore open-ended questions and present compelling arguments using data
• Knowledge of Excel, SQL, and visualization tools such as Tableau
• Ability to apply statistics to real-life business problems
• Ability to articulate a business case and dissect the value proposition of a product
• Previous internship in a related field
• Bonus if able to build searches and dashboards in Splunk
