HOW A DATA SCIENTIST PRINCIPAL WILL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Data Scientist Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CMS. You will play a crucial role in advanced payment and policy analysis with linkage to other federal datasets to analyze trends in Medicare payment systems. Lead complex Medicare/Medicaid analytic projects and artificial intelligence/machine learning. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze CMS data sources linked to data sources from other federal agencies Drive impact analysis of healthcare and payment policy changes on health outcomes and program integrity. Utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to advanced complex analyses and develop algorithms to assess exposure to fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare program.
Requirements
- Bachelors in a related field. Masters Preferred
- 8+ years of related experience and experience with advanced Medicare and preferably Medicaid) healthcare analyses and linkage to non-CMS data sources
- 8+ years of experience in a data analytics or computer-science related field(s).
- 5+ years of experience using R or Python, performing machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- 5+ years client relation activities, ingesting and synthesizing customer specifications and effectively communicating complex analytic outcomes to client satisfaction.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
