We are currently seeking an on-site Data Scientist (Junior) to join our team of professionals in support of the USMC MCICOM G-9 Directorate. Essential Duties & Job Functions: Assistin the implementation and maintenance of the COLS framework installation function and subfunction capabilities, including data entry, basic analysis, and testing support for updates to the framework. Support the preparation and coordination of the annual COLS other than labor costing,manpowercosting, and performance management data collection efforts, ensuring data accuracy, updating information as directed, and consolidating feedback for review by senior team members. Assistin gathering requirements for improving the LFS Apps COLS Application, ensuring theaccuratetransfer of data betweensystemsand generating basic reports or visuals under the guidance of senior staff. Helpmaintainand update the COLS Power BI Dashboard, including assisting with data inputs and generating simple visuals or analyses for review by supervisors. Provide administrative and organizational support for the COLS App and other associated systems, ensuring data is updated andassistingwith system troubleshooting. Participate in and provide documentation for meetings with COLS functional communities of interest (HQ and regional experts),assistingwith updating cost estimates and refining performance data under direction. Provide support to the team in developing and testing portions of the COLS Executive Resource and Risk Management system, ensuring organized feedback iscollected,and changes are implemented as needed. Assistin the analysis of COLS OTL andLaborout-year cost estimate data, supporting validation efforts and reconciling basic data discrepancies under supervision. Gather and organize data for review using quantitative methods as directed. Assistin review sessions with subject matter experts, ensuring documentation of feedback and changes. Follow established DoD cost estimation techniques and statistical tools as instructed. Support the development of error-limiting approaches andimplement themunder guidance. Help compile and review COLS cost estimates, ensuring data alignment with PBIS, DAI, and COLS data as needed for reports or decision reviews. Participate in COLS training and support efforts, administering basic updates to the COLSAppand providing guidance to users as needed. Assistin the review and preparation of updates to orders, directives, and policies governing COLS programs, draftingsummariesand communicating changes to relevant stakeholders with supervisor oversight. Support the development of the Commander’s Organizational Risk Estimate (CORE) report, aiding in data collection, preparing materials, andassistingin report creation under the direction of senior team members. Perform related work as assigned.
