About The Position

itD is seeking a Data Scientist IV to drive advanced biosensor data analysis and support the development of next-generation biosensing technologies. This role focuses on extracting insights from complex, high-dimensional datasets to inform research, prototype development, and product improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, signal processing, and scientific computing, with a proven ability to translate analytical findings into actionable R&D and product decisions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working with hardware sensors and analyzing real-world biosensor or similar sensor-generated data.
  • Strong signal processing expertise, including experience with time-domain signals and/or medical imaging systems.
  • 3+ years of experience performing data extraction, manipulation, modeling, and visualization using Python, R, MATLAB, or SQL.
  • Proficiency with scientific computing and analysis libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, dplyr, or caret.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and building scalable analytical workflows.
  • Ability to present findings from statistical and machine learning analyses to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib, Pyplot, seaborn, or ggplot2.
  • Experience developing or supporting predictive models for R&D or product-focused use cases.
  • Prior exposure to distributed computing or large-scale data processing environments.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, debug, and optimize distributed compute workflows for metric computation, modeling, and analysis across large biosensor datasets.
  • Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, signal processing, and advanced mathematical techniques to identify patterns and opportunities in biosensor data.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms to support biosensor prototype development and product enhancement.
  • Generate and test hypotheses through structured experimentation, interpreting results to inform R&D direction.
  • Collaborate closely with product engineers to translate analytical prototypes into scalable products, services, and features.
  • Analyze and interpret real-world, time-domain sensor data to support decision-making across research and engineering teams.
  • Create clear data visualizations to communicate insights and guide future biosensing research and development efforts.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
