The Senior Data Scientist in Intl Supply Chain will be responsible for leveraging mathematical optimization, simulation, AI/ML modeling to improve supply chain and last mile operations and decision-making processes. This role involves utilizing mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and data-driven insights to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, network optimization, replenishment and logistics planning. This position will collaborate closely with the engineering, product, and business teams to deliver generalized, accurate, and scalable models that can serve across markets.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of OR (LP/MILP/IP) models and methodologies to solve complex supply chain and last mile problems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities in supply chain and perform data analysis, gather relevant information to develop mathematical models and algorithms and scale and deploy them in production systems.
  • Apply optimization methods, statistical techniques, and AI/ML models to generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Product, engineering and business teams to build and integrate models and into existing systems and ensure their seamless implementation.
  • Present research findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling, optimization techniques, simulation methodologies, and AI/ML models.
  • 2+ years of experience in building modular, re-usable, and scalable ML models and leveraging best practices in MLOps.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, CPLex, and Cloud technologies such as GCP, Azure as well as with Spark, Hive and TensorFlow.
  • 2+ years of experience in building large-scale retail demand forecasting, markdowns, etc. models with deep learning and other ML models.
  • Expertise in applying OR techniques to complex business problems, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
  • Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
  • Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch).
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience in creating inclusive digital experiences.
