What’s the Opportunity?
A Data Scientist II at Quantum Workplace contributes deeply to the design, development, and delivery of analytics and machine learning solutions. You’ll be the primary analytics resource on a cross-functional squad, executing complex analyses and models with high autonomy. You’ll also help raise the bar for the whole team — improving processes, collaborating with peers, and helping mentor junior members.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
• Extremely high agency: You find a way to get what you want without waiting for perfect conditions. You push through adversity or reverse it to achieve your goals.
• A scientific way of thinking: You apply the scientific method to reliably and demonstrably advance Quantum Workplace’s understanding of employee voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills: You collaborate easily with non-technical partners and adapt your communication to fit their needs.
• Strong SQL skills: You pull, clean, and shape data from complex relational sources and build queries that hold up under real-world workloads.
• Proficiency in Python or R: You explore data, run experiments, and build repeatable analyses or models that help move decisions forward.
• Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Advance Product Insights & Capabilities | Independently develop machine learning models, statistical analyses, and data-driven insights within a cross-functional product team, applying appropriate methods to the problem context.
• Build & Maintain Pipelines | Develop, maintain, and improve analytics and ML pipelines that support reliable, scalable delivery of data science solutions.
• Contribute to Experimentation & Monitoring | Design and execute experiments, analyses, and monitoring components that validate hypotheses and track model performance.
• Ensure Data Quality | Own data exploration, cleaning, validation, and preprocessing for your projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability in downstream models.
• Contribute to Best Practices | Help strengthen team processes by sharing findings, improving documentation, and mentoring junior Data Science team members.
• Collaborate & Communicate | Translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for product managers, engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
