The Data Scientist I supports the Enterprise Complaints Management team by providing data validation, analytics, and reporting insights to strengthen the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) oversight of the enterprise complaints program. This role partners closely with business leaders and other stakeholders and leverages enterprise complaint data, primarily from Salesforce, to ensure data accuracy, identify trends, and independently assess risk indicators related to customer complaints. The Data Scientist I applies foundational data and analytical methods to enterprise complaint data, including querying and validating large, structured data sets and performing analysis of free form complaint narratives. The role uses analytical tools and scripting to automate data quality checks, support recurring reporting, and conduct trend and pattern analysis across complaint populations. This position evaluates quantitative and qualitative complaint data to identify emerging risk indicators, anomalies, and gaps in monitoring, and translates analytical findings into clear, risk focused insights to support independent challenge, regulatory responses, and executive reporting in a highly regulated financial services environment.
