As a Data Scientist Expert within PNC's Data Science Innovation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or one of the offices within PNC's footprint. Job Description Leads and guides the end-to-end analytical projects that leverage vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights. Provides subject matter expertise, direction, and methodology for Data Scientists to create appropriate models and data-driven solutions for the business. Serves as a subject matter expert of PNC; understands the needs and challenges PNC is facing and provides thought leadership around data science activities both internally and externally. Works with executive leadership to identify data science project opportunities and leads planning activities including budget and scope determination. Partners with business and technology teams to develop data-driven solutions for the business. Requirements

  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.
  • Higher level education such as a Masters degree, or PhD is desirable.
  • Industry experience is typically 8 + years.
  • Specific certifications are often required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
