About The Position

BlueHalo, an AV Company, has an opportunity available for a Data Scientist/Database Engineer to join our team working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. This position will support research within the Human Performance Directorate, 711th Human Performance Wing. The individual in this position will 1) aggregate, integrate, and organize datasets into repositories, 2) generate insights using advanced data science methods, and 3) collaborate with physiologists and engineers to report findings.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in data science, or related field.
• 3-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in statistical software, including R.
• Proficiency in data science in support of biology/physiology.
• Ability to create and maintain databases using automation tools.
• Demonstrable experience in essential programming languages.
• Proficient in technical writing and presentations.
• Excellent communication skills and organization.

Responsibilities

• Find novel biomechanical and physiological insights from complex data streams.
• Develop and refine analytic and data visualization tools, including automated process workflows.
• Perform big data analytics, including descriptive statistics, trend modeling, dose-response modeling, statistical analyses, and predictive algorithm development.
• Curate and expand existing data requirements.
