About The Position

The Data Science Consultant will play a crucial role in developing, designing, and maintaining AI-based systems within Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) practice. This position focuses on leveraging data analytics, machine learning, and natural language processing to solve complex problems for federal, state, and local government clients. The consultant will work as part of client delivery teams to ensure engaging user experiences and contribute to the development of advanced analytics products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• 2+ years experience implementing supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
• 2+ years experience with building artificial intelligence technologies and NLP.
• 2+ years experience executing data science methodologies using programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and R.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Federal Consulting and/or professional services experience.
• Applied knowledge of AWS/cloud development and solutions architecture.
• Experience presenting to clients or decision makers.
• Prior experience supporting clients within Federal Health or Defense in areas such as data quality analysis, statistical analysis, financial analysis, or internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain AI-based systems.
• Participate in Natural Language Processing activities.
• Build Machine Learning Models and AI Algorithms.
• Conduct code and design reviews.
• Support all phases of analytic work product development, from data collection to delivering insights.
