About The Position

We are currently looking for a Data Scientist, Ads in the United States. In this role, you will drive advanced data science initiatives to enhance advertising performance and user engagement. You will own high-impact problem areas, from advertiser growth to ad formats and monetization, leveraging machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design. The position offers the autonomy to define metrics, develop predictive models, and influence strategic decisions that shape the future of digital advertising. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, translating insights into actionable outcomes while mentoring others and setting high technical standards. This role is ideal for a data scientist passionate about leveraging data to drive measurable business impact at scale.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • For M.S. holders: 10+ years of industry experience; for Ph.D. holders: 6+ years in applied science, data science, or machine learning roles.
  • Expertise in one or more areas: Ads creative & format evaluation, measurement & experimentation at scale, or customer growth & lifecycle analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or R and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning, optimization techniques, and large-scale data systems.
  • Strong understanding of experimental design, causal inference, and A/B testing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of complex advertising problem spaces, such as funnel acceleration and advertiser lifetime value.
  • Build and deploy predictive models, optimization frameworks, and decision-support tools to inform advertiser acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Define business and performance metrics and design methodologies to measure the impact of product and modeling changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales teams to align goals, translate insights into action, and drive execution.
  • Mentor colleagues and promote best practices in modeling, experimentation, and measurement.
  • Apply causal inference, economic analysis, and large-scale data techniques to solve novel problems in the ad ecosystem.
