About The Position

The Family History Department (FamilySearch International) seeks to enable inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family—past, present, and future. The Business Intelligence team empowers leaders across FamilySearch to develop strategy and make datainformed decisions. This Data Scientist role will play a pivotal part in automating evaluations of digitized image quality and indexed records collected over many years, helping surface opportunities for improvement. The position focuses on building scalable analytical and machinelearning solutions that assess image readability, index accuracy, and process quality—ultimately guiding innovation, prioritizing investment, and ensuring longterm data reliability. This is a fulltime, benefitted position. It is not a remote role; candidates must be available to work onsite at our Lehi, Utah office 4–5 days per week.
