About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build data-driven strategies that enhance the authentication and risk signaling of financial instruments across our platform. In this role, you will analyze large-scale transactional and behavioral data to detect patterns of fraud, identify vulnerabilities, and generate actionable insights to launch risk strategies to mitigate fraud and influence product partners to build product solutions that improve security and user experience without compromising on customer friction. You will collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to socialize new ideas and build capabilities. Your work will be critical in shaping scalable, intelligent systems that mitigate fraud while minimizing user friction.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative discipline or equivalent with 6+ years' experience.
• Masters degree and 4+ years related professional work experience developing data-driven fraud strategies.
• Proven experience working with large datasets, with strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R and data visualization tools.
• Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical concepts.
• Experience evaluating and integrating third-party data vendors to enhance fraud detection capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong understanding of payment systems and e-commerce platforms.
• Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.

Responsibilities
