About The Position

Under general supervision, applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions and make valuable discoveries leading to increased efficiency and productivity. Analysis focuses on product warranty related data sets that may be applied to various areas of the business (e.g, Manufacturing, Design, Marketing/Advertising, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in math, statistics, computer science, software engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Node.js, SQL, Python, API’s, MySQL/MongoDB, large language models, and business intelligence tools.
  • 0+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with databases and large data sets and related reporting tools
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts and related vehicle systems (e.g, charging/starting electrical, emission, HVAC systems, vehicle electronic components).
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output and to assist others with identifying gaps in work results

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains statistical models capable of extracting valuable business and/or technical insights from large data sets.
  • Proactively participates in developing scalable Business Intelligence (BI) and predictive analytics solutions using a variety of techniques ranging from data aggregation to data mining.
  • Assists with conducting needs assessment and requirements gathering to design and assist in deploying data analytics solutions.
  • Performs data manipulation and analytics and translate insights into actionable recommendations to management and customers.
  • Prepares presentations and reports of statistical concepts and research results related to efficiency initiatives to be shared with a non-statistical audience and senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitates training and education of associates related to new systems and procedures.
  • Creates standards for process improvement projects using Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis Theory.
  • Applies statistical expertise to advance current and future regional initiatives.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends in the field of Big Data Analytics by attending related seminars, conferences and training sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
