We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director of Data Science to lead our Fraud Prevention Program. This role will oversee the development and execution of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data-driven strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive innovation and safeguard our business and customers.

  • Define and execute the data science roadmap for fraud detection and prevention.
  • Align fraud analytics initiatives with enterprise risk management and compliance goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
  • Develop and deploy predictive models and anomaly detection systems using machine learning and statistical techniques.
  • Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Leverage big data platforms and real-time analytics to identify emerging fraud patterns.
  • Partner with Fraud Operations, Compliance, IT, and Legal teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of fraud strategies.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure data science practices adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Establish model governance frameworks and documentation standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums and contribute to thought leadership in fraud analytics.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in fraud analytics or risk management.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • Expertise in Python, R, SQL, Spark, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
  • Strong understanding of fraud typologies, financial crime, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
