We are searching for the best talent for Data Science Intern, PAI to be in PA Spring House. The Intern / Co-op term is from June to August, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Data Science Intern to support our research and development initiatives focusing on in-silico perturbation models. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work with our AI/ML team on validation of network models to assess in-silico perturbation methods and results. With this, we aim to improve our drug discovery processes.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Ph.D. in computational biology, genetics, or a related field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in AI/ML research and/or computational biology
  • Experience in network modeling
  • Proficiency in Python and R
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional setting
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the PAI team and DPDS to validate in-silico models for perturbations.
  • Analyze and aggregate results from multiple in-silico experiments.
  • Present analytical findings to cross-functional teams, contextualizing results within broader project goals.
  • Draft technical papers for high impact conferences and/or journals
