Requirements

  • Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences or a related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or in a data/business analytics or computer-related occupation
  • Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
  • Working with large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP)
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  • Relational database (SQL or PLSQL)
  • Statistical analysis using Python, R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
  • Large scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, MPI, Vertica,or Google BigQuery)
  • Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics and
  • Communicating and presenting results of data analyses

Responsibilities

  • Lead the collection, organization, interpretation, and summarization of statistical data to drive the strategic design and development of Meta products.
  • Solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches to understanding ecosystems, user behaviors & long-term product trends, and lead data-driven projects from definition to execution.
  • Collaborate with and influence Product and Engineering teams to solve complex problems, identify trends and opportunities, and shape the strategic direction of our products.
  • Provide strategic insights, influence, support, and execute product decisions and launches, ensuring alignment with company-wide strategic goals.
  • May be assigned to lead projects in various areas including, but not limited to, product operations, exploratory analysis, product influence, and data infrastructure.
  • Tackle complex problems of diverse scope, requiring in-depth data analysis and evaluation of innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and driving strategic initiatives.
