About The Position

This is a strategic leadership role where you will drive the pricing and risk strategy for complex sports and esports markets. You will lead a team of analysts and data scientists, building and deploying models that optimize competitiveness, profitability, and engagement. The role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and business operations teams to ensure pricing initiatives are effective and data-driven. You will oversee experimentation, risk monitoring, and the development of frameworks to maintain pricing accuracy and market health. This is a high-impact position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-centric environment and enjoys shaping the strategy behind high-volume, dynamic markets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing a Data Science or analytics team, with experience in pricing, trading, or risk management
  • Strong technical foundation in data science, statistics, or software engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python or R; experience with simulation-based modeling and statistical optimization techniques
  • Experience in sports betting, fantasy, or related gaming industries preferred
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from ideation to launch in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working at the intersection of data, product, and operations
  • Understanding of sports and/or esports market structures and dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Own pricing and risk strategy for fantasy sports and esports markets
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of pricing analysts and data scientists
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain pricing models across multiple leagues and competitions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and BizOps on pricing initiatives
  • Guide experimentation around payouts, hold targets, and win rate optimization
  • Ensure data integrity, modeling quality, and risk exposure frameworks are robust
  • Monitor market health and adjust strategies to optimize profitability and engagement
