About The Position

As an IT Intern, you will learn the core principles and fundamentals of Information Technology within Kohl’s and contribute to key work to drive business outcomes and deliverables forward. What You’ll Do Leverage critical thinking, experimentation and data to identify and capture stakeholder requirements, build use cases and achieve desired business outcomes Understand and contribute to requirement specification documents Research and leverage industry best practices Demonstrate a passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies Participate in brainstorming as part of a balanced team(s) Additional tasks may be assigned Addendum Data Science Intern Solve and create data models and algorithms from high volumes of data to be used in enterprise applications Develop solutions that have a large real-world impact on the business and become a leader in the space Analyze peer-reviewed research to justify approaches and communicate the benefits to stakeholders Explore, understand and implement the most recent algorithms and approaches for supervised and unsupervised machine learning Handle multi-terabyte data sets in scale-up and scale-out environments Understand business processes that create and consume data to be able to select the best approaches, evaluate their performance and assess business relevance

Requirements

Ability to problem solve and look at logic to justify processes and decisions
A passion, aptitude and interest in technology
Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the “What You’ll Do” Section
Ability to comply with dress code requirements
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements as set by the company
Ability to learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
Ability to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from leadership and other company personnel
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively and appropriately with others
Ability to maintain composure and work in a fast paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes
Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs
Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating, preparing reports, etc.
Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units
Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner
