About The Position

Red Technologies, Spot's tech arm, is looking for a Data Science Intern who is passionate about solving business problems by providing critical and actionable insights through data modeling and analysis. Our team believes in the power of information, and we work hard to build models using bleeding-edge technology to provide the most powerful insights to the business stakeholders who rely on us.
You would be a great fit for our team if you’re a self-starter who is passionate about applied math and exploring the intersection of real business problems with huge data sets.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or have relevant experience.
• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R etc.,)
• Knowledge of statistics, ML algorithms, and deep learning. Experience with XGBoost, Time Series forecasting, or PyTorch is a plus.
• Experience with or interest in cloud technologies, distributed computing, and markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to help identify future opportunities and risks.
• Assist with the development and implementation of data pipelines using various scripting languages (SQL, Python, etc.)
• Analyze large data sets to uncover key insights and trends using statistical techniques.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and visualizations.
• Collaborate with team members to develop data-driven solutions to business problems.
