About The Position

This is a summer internship (2026) expected start date is Tuesday, May 26th with an end date of August 7th. Intern is required to work on-site in Peoria, IL POSITION SUMMARY: The intern will assist in brainstorming sessions, research initiatives, data analysis, and possibly even help design and prototype solutions. This role is perfect for someone who is adaptable, eager to learn, and excited about working in an environment that values creativity, forward-thinking, and the continuous pursuit of innovative ideas. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to build their professional network, develop new skills, and enhance their resumes while contributing to meaningful projects. Interns have made a valuable impact on pipeline for health care jobs within OSF Innovation. There are currently 4 previous interns employed as Mission Partners in Innovation Discovery Labs. We anticipate more pipelining from future interns within OSF Innovation. Work on smaller, production aligned data science opportunty from Advanced Analytics' proritized backlog. The opportunity will be aligned with one of the areas we serve and the specific project selection will be based on the intern's skillset and internest. Develop and deploy a fully functional data science solution, benefiting the Ministry by providing insights into data or supporting decision making.

Requirements

  • Student currently attending college or university completing undergraduate degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or other related field.
  • Proven leadership skills in team building, training, and problem solving are required.
  • Working knowledge of specific microcomputer applications (spreadsheet, word processing, and database) is required.
  • Analytical skills are required to address operational and system problems, to gather and interpret financial and clinical data, and to prepare clear, concise management reports that alert administration to opportunities and threats and propose appropriate action plans.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required to share complex information with administration, division directors and managers.
  • Experience preparing and delivering both small and large group presentations is required
