The selected candidate will operate under the direct supervision of a CM and support projects around ground-based mobile satellite communication systems and radio frequency engineering. The CM Intern will receive direct mentorship in being able to plan and integrate technical data and structures into a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool. This position will apply principles and techniques of CM to support engineering and drafting on project.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have valid documentation
  • Must be currently enrolled at, or have recently graduated from, an ABET accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of Configuration Management and PLM tools
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and preparing data for integration into PLM Tool
  • Apply CM principles in areas of engineering structures
  • Validate internal and vendor part numbers
  • Provide latest versions of documents and drawings for engineering
  • Review document formatting, spelling and grammar
  • Communicate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing personnel, management, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Support engineering documentation, i.e., drawings, project specifications, procedures, test data and results
  • Abide by company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a US DOD security clearance
