About The Position

Parsippany DATA SCIENCE INTERN Location: Parsippany, NJ or Kalamazoo, MI Internship Summary: The Data Science Intern will report to the Analytics Lead for the DSDE group in Zoetis’ Digital, Data, and Analytics organization. They will execute data science and AI use cases supporting Zoetis’ digital and analytics strategy. Internship Job Duties: Employ the full breadth of AI and data science models, tools, and solutions to execute prioritized analytics use cases across the enterprise (40%) Collaborate with Zoetis colleagues and external partner data scientists and analytics professionals to execute analytics use cases (30%) Present data science solutions to business and Zoetis Tech and Digital colleagues in a clear and understandable manner (10%) Follow data analytics quality and security standards for data science work (10%) Effectively document data science models, methods, and code (10%) Internship Qualifications: In pursuit of BS/MS/Ph.D. in Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field with one year or less remaining until completion Practical skills in data science and AI methodologies (statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, optimization) and experience with R, Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and Large Language Models (LLMs) Familiarity with code testing, documentation, and collaborative development using Git/GitHub Proven track-record of strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Understanding of manufacturing data systems (IoT, MES, ERP) and manufacturing statistics (statistical process control, design of experiments, Six Sigma) is a plus The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position: If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $22.00 per hour If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois (Chicago area), Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington (Seattle area): Student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $17.00 per hour Student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $24.20 per hour Student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $36.40 per hour Student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $40.30 per hour Zoetis is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status. Requirements

  • In pursuit of BS/MS/Ph.D. in Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field with one year or less remaining until completion
