Join our Transportation Business Line and Major Projects Team as a Data Science Intern in our Orlando, FL office and play a key role in driving industry research, market intelligence, and strategic insights to support business growth. This role provides a valuable opportunity to engage with digital tools and research methodologies that shape the transportation sector. This internship offers exposure to market research, business strategy, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making within the transportation sector. Interns will work closely with innovation and strategy leaders, gaining practical experience in shaping business intelligence solutions. Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and work within all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and an openness to developing low-code/no-code skill sets.
  • Passion for the transportation industry and willingness to explore innovative approaches to business research.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Construction Management, Business Analytics, Transportation Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research on the Transportation Market in North America, identifying emerging trends, key players, and industry dynamics.
  • Analyze upcoming business pursuits, providing insights into potential projects and competitive positioning.
  • Investigate past wins and market trends to inform data-driven business strategies.
  • Research leading construction companies, examining their market presence, capabilities, and project involvement within the transportation industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and develop methodologies for data exploration (EDA), hypothesis testing, and modeling using advanced statistics, machine learning, and data analytics.
  • Support the digital transformation efforts in transportation by contributing to research and the development of innovative digital solutions.
