About The Position

The Data Science Associate collaborates with senior data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to extract insights from data, build predictive and Generative AI models, and enable data driven decision making across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience applying data science methods to real world business problems
  • Strong SQL expertise required, with working knowledge of Oracle databases
  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent relevant work experience required.
  • Ability to translate model outputs into actionable business insights for technical and non technical audiences
  • Experience conducting model reviews to ensure inputs, processing, and outputs align with established standards and best practices
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and performance optimized querying
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Ability to clearly explain analytical results, including assumptions, limitations, uncertainty, and trade offs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience deploying models to production, including collaboration on ML Ops practices (CI/CD pipelines, model registry, monitoring, feature stores) considered a strong plus
  • Auto finance domain experience, with hands-on experience in Cassiopae preferred.
  • Process modeling experience, including end to end workflow or business process modeling preferred
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics) preferred
  • Strong technical proficiency with the Cassiopae system, including its underlying data and database structures
  • Hands-on experience using AWS data science services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker) to build, train, and deploy models

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, NLP, etc.)
  • Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and fine-tune for optimization
  • Support A/B testing, design, execution, and analysis
  • Design and optimize Prompt Engineering strategies to improve LLM output quality and relevance
  • Build and deploy Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
  • Present insights, model results, and AI solution demos to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Support enterprise data transformation initiatives across financial services (KSIOP) and other business functions, modernizing legacy systems into centralized and scalable analytics platforms (ADW), spanning both existing and new systems.
  • Develop reference data architectures, including working with Central Data Office team on standards, principles, patterns and dictionary.
  • Support reporting requests from Accounting.
  • Support research for potential new SCRs/tickets raised by Accounting.
  • Support data extractions resulting from batch automation SCR, population extracts, inventory related Ad-hoc requests (like Gross proceeds, sold assets, Cutover data etc.).
  • Assist the Development / AMS team to implement the Population Queries.
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
  • Update process documentation to keep system library up to date.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. Validate system developed according to requirement by testing.
