About The Position

As a Data Science Analyst in the 2026 Technology Analyst Program at Fiserv, you will apply modern data and AI techniques to power the next generation of fintech experiences. Over two structured assignments, you gain hands-on experience with Python, SQL, machine learning, and large language models while contributing to high-impact business solutions. You collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams to design, benchmark, and scale AI-driven analytics that support our clients’ needs at the speed of life. Through formal training, mentorship, and exposure to senior leaders, you accelerate your growth as a data and AI professional while helping Fiserv lead the industry as a true partner in possibility.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree completed in December 2024 or later in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related technology field (or equivalent military experience).
  • 3.0+ cumulative GPA
  • Foundational experience (academic, internship, or professional) with: Python for data preparation, statistical analysis, and modeling SQL for querying and working with relational or cloud datasets.
  • 0–2 years of relevant internship, co-op, military, or professional experience.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to machine learning concepts or frameworks (such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data or analytics environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Introductory experience or coursework related to AI, large language models, or advanced analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Python and SQL to clean, transform, and synthesize high-quality datasets used to train and evaluate AI and analytics solutions.
  • Build and refine LLM-powered workflows and autonomous agents using prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and fine-tuning to automate complex analytical tasks.
  • Design and execute experiments to benchmark model performance using LLM evaluation metrics such as accuracy, latency, and reasoning consistency.
  • Develop visualizations and reports that clearly explain model behavior, “agentic” decision-making, and analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the lifecycle of machine learning models, from prototyping through deployment into scalable AI systems that optimize internal business processes.
  • Apply statistical techniques and predictive modeling to identify trends, quantify impact, and recommend data-driven actions that support business innovation.
