About The Position

The Data Science Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for teaching courses in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Visualization during evening sessions in Spring 2026. The faculty member must be willing to teach in person and/or be certified to teach online. Responsibilities include adhering to the course syllabus, incorporating diverse perspectives, utilizing academic technologies, maintaining accurate records, and participating in the assessment of learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's Degree required.
• Some teaching experience is required.
• Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.
• Teaching experience at the community college level.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with the description published in the catalog and the approved course syllabus.
• Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
• Utilizes library resources, writing as an instructional method, and academic technologies in courses.
• Meets all scheduled class meetings and advises the Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate grade and attendance records for students and submits required reports.
• Submits grades by the published deadline.
• Participates in the assessment of learning outcomes and uses results in course planning.
• Plans in advance to ensure availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
• Submits progress reports on students for counseling and record-keeping purposes.
• Adheres to College policies and procedures.
